Concert at London´s Wigmore Hall
15 January 2008
Sunday the 26th Michala and Hannibal returned to play a concert at the Wigmore Hall. It was, as always, a joy to play in this marvellous accoustic and very special atmosphere. One can almost feel the spirit of all the great artist who has played there during the years!
The repertoire was very new for the duo, and included works for flute and guitar by Mauro Giuliani, Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Astor Piazzolla.

Verbier Festival & Academy 2005
15 January 2008
Again this year Michala was invited to participate in the Verbier Festival in Switzerland. She spend almost 2 weeks there and did 3 concerts in different connections. For the first time she played Mozart Quartet for flute and strings in D major K 285, with Janine Jansen, violin, Julian Rachlin, viola and Ralph Kirshbaum, cello.
She also did a recital with Lars Hannibal, and participated in the Joshua Bell "Carte Blance Concert", playing the flute part in Saint-Saëns: "Carnival of the animals".
In Verbier during the festival period, you get so much inspiration from hearing concerts with some of the finest musicians of today, also from meeting collegues from all over the world. The atmosphere is very special, and the idea of having also a full orchestra with young musicians from all over the world makes this festival unique!

Michala has after 4 years released a new CD with Vivaldi´s "The Four Seasons" and Saint-Saëns "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso".
Thomas Dausgaard conducts the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
On this recording Michala is using the "Modern Recorder" invented by Nik Tarasov and Joachim Paetzold, produced by Mollenhauer, and the new "Ehlert Alto" designed by Ralf Ehlert and produced by Moeck. The new instruments differs from the baroque recorders in having more dynamic possibilities and a bigger range of notes.
