01 March 2008
On Midem Festival in Cannes in January, Lars Hannibal participated as a Director for OUR Recordings. The participation was very succesful, and there was a great interest from many parts of the world for Our Recordings releases. The theme this year was China, and on the big conference held by China for the Classical Music situation in China, one of the speakers Publisher for Gramophone in China, Wang Xiang, anounced to the audience that "the way Mr.Hannibal is working with music in China is most welcome in China!" It was of course a great honour to be mentioned in that way from the official China, and aslo an appreciation of the work OUR Recordings are doing to make an musical dialogue between East and West.
Also the network is graduately growing for OUR Recordings, and many more people in the music business now know about our label.
It was a great pleasure that a Chinese artist, Chen Yue, that also records on OUR Recordings, was representing China 3 times on the Opening evening!
